Our first distance training group of 2024 is back! Ready to commit to a half or full marathon? Our specialized training program is designed to guide you in setting smart goals and equipping you with a solid plan to achieve them. Join our awesome Puget Sound running community this spring, where you'll not only find new training buddies but also develop grit and surpass your own expectations!
Get ready for our group training sessions on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings, led by dedicated coaches and mentors. We're eager to be part of your journey and help you reach your goals. Are you ready to get started? Let's kick off this adventure together!

Starts: First day of training is Wednesday, February 14th at 6:00pm.
- Ends: Last group workout is Wednesday, May 15th at 6:00 pm.
- Program length: 14 weeks.
DETAILS
- Objective Distance: Half Marathon and Marathon
- We're partnering with the Capital City Marathon & Half on Sunday, May 19, 2024. As always, our training program has a goal race, but there are also many other spring races in the Northwest. If you prefer to run a different race, let us know and we can adjust the plan to fit your goal race.
- Experience: All paces are welcome, with a typical range between 7:00-14:00 minutes per mile. To comfortably participate in our program, you should be able to run about four miles for the half marathon group or eight miles for the full marathon training.
- Price:
- Half Marathon- $120+ fees
- Full Marathon- $140+ fees

WORKOUT SCHEDULE/STRUCTURE
- Wednesday Evenings at 6:00 pm: Group Workouts
- Saturday Mornings at 8:00 am: Group Long Runs
- Meeting locations will vary between Fleet Feet Tacoma, University of Puget Sound track and Point Defiance Park.

MEET YOUR COACH: BEKAH OLSON (EMAIL)
I have been running consistently for about 17 years. I started running because after losing weight through diet and walking, I needed a way to burn more calories in a shorter period of time; as a mom I was chasing three little girls around and didn't have time for my workout to take all day! My first race was a sprint distance triathlon. I had absolutely no idea of what I was doing, but I got hooked. I did one triathlon a year for several years until I decided to try a half marathon. I really found my happy place in running, and over the years as my kids have gotten older, I have dedicated more time and energy to the sport. I discovered that I really love the mental challenge of speed workouts and running with other people! I have run many half marathons and am up to 11 marathons including the Boston Marathon, Chicago Marathon and New York City Marathon (which have been the coolest experiences ever!).
I am an ACE Fitness Personal Trainer and RRCA Certified Running Coach, over the last 9 years I have worked with many first-time exercisers through the YMCA and Fleet Feet . In 2018, I started coaching the running training groups at Fleet Feet in Louisville, KY. I have coached runners from Couch to 5k to half and full marathons. At Fleet Feet Tacoma, I coach our Ignite! 5K and our distance groups. I love talking with runners and chatting about all things running!
